"I am honoured to be the owner and practice principal of A Fine Balance Physiotherapy. Having opened from scratch more than ten years ago, it’s been an exciting journey and I am proud of what we have created with the team approach that we take to our patients’ care"
Nothing would be possible without the support of my patient and inspiring wife Lorren. She is currently pursuing a career change from teacher to zoo-keeper/educator and it’s been a great change for the whole family. As a younger couple we travelled for three years before coming home to marry and start our family and the practice. Our two daughters, six and eight, attend Mt Hawthorn PS. My other interests include kite surfing, fishing, live music, running, and cooking. You will also see me cheering for the Dockers in the AFL, or following cricket, rugby, and Arsenal in the (real) football.
In 2021, I look forward to finishing my 3+ year-long project of restoring a 40 year old, 20-foot Bertram motor boat. This has been both an inspiring and crushing project, over budget, over time but so much gained. I am always trying to balance the needs of work with my growing family, and I am enjoying doing drop-offs and pickups at school, and planning of our trips away (domestic of course) as we are now locked into the school calendar.
Physiotherapy has been a journey of personal and professional growth. I started in 2003 with sports and high performance and have evolved my experience into a whole patient approach aimed at achieving excellent results and patient empowerment and understanding in the shortest time. I am most comfortable with complex presentations and working together to understand the experience and develop strategies to take control.
I am passionate about keeping up-to-date and employing innovative ways to achieve the best results but still believe that good old-fashioned service and patient care is the most important facet of a good clinical experience. I approach each patient with the same care that I would treat my mother, father or closest friend.
The trust I receive, involving me in your health journey, is a driving force. I look forward to hearing your story and being part of your team.
